I'm sorry to say, I broke down today.  RF wheel bearing practically exploded.  My buddy came to my rescue.  Loaded it on my trailer
That's me crying.  LOL

That doesn't happen very often, but I did have a 67 Ford truck 3/4 ton beefed up to ton and a half lose a wheel on the back from 8 loose lugnuts (and 3800 lbs of floor tiles in the back).

Yeah, that's why you put grease in them on occasion. You have my blessings in its repair.

Damn Steve there's parts of the Titanic with less rust than that! Been awhile since that bearing saw any grease.

It's a sealed bearing.  There's no rust inside.  who knows.  It's the original.

Whoa!! - never saw a bearing that dry and crusty either! Nor one that pricey!!  I think I'd do both sides, considering.

Sorry we couldn't get the car up there, but better luck next time... I'm almost always around now that Vermont is off the agenda until next  March. We're going to a party tonight with a bunch of the wife's Whitney Point/Lisle co-workers, and will ask around about bush-hog-ing.
