Brake parts advice
« on: September 10, 2013, 07:29:12 AM »

Finally got the old girl running again after a 13 year nap in the weeds. Runs so well she doesn't want to stop... ok, that's just what I tell myself... in reality the service brakes are out of service.

Thanks in advance!

Now lets answer the question

New Rear Drums?   Kinda limited.  Last I heard Kantor had them..  Or you can probably get a good set of used. . . www.mooresautosalvage.com

I know Steve hates this place but that's tough.  If you need parts you need them.

Kanter has them for $99.00 each.

Fred Kantor is a bit of a jerk, he got thrown off www.packardinfo.com for his overbearing, arrogant attitude. The bigger problem with Kantor is much of their stuff is now sourced in China, I'd use 'em ONLY as a last resort.

There was a junkyard in the Bake where the owner was a real and true PITA.  However, if he had the part I needed, his being an ass was not going to stop me from getting the part.  Heck, if we desired to only work with "good guys" in the car hobby, we would never get a project finished.

Brakechute, if you cannot find the drums you need, Kanter has them.
