Good deal on walking, or biking to work.  If your not using it, or don't need it, then time to let it go I think.

Maybe you can get a "fun" car again?

I love the car. And it has been good. I just hacked the muffler off, I don't need no stinking fart cans

F and M bodies did come with the OD manual crashbox for the first few model years.
Not a performer by no means since most were attached to a slant six,or a 3 ought teen.
MPG minded, the OD trans do not take too well to lots of HP upgrades to the motor.
Different gear ratios, and lighter parts tend to grenade behind 300+ horses.
Plus the linkages sucked and wear badly causing it to shift like crap.
If you find a factory stick F or M,grab it.
Then jam in a real 4 speed orr upgrade to a 5 speed.
Me? I will "stick" to my 3 on da tree,LOL!!

You can identify the 4spdOD by the aluminum case, they tended to wear out the mounting point of the secondary shaft in the front of the case. Agree with the update, or, I did see a repair of one in a magazine by drilling the front case location for the shaft and inserting a steel ring to control the movement.
