Theres a guy here with a '73 318 outta p/u truck complete good running engine for 100 bucks, maybe you could find soemthing like that, it'd move that Newp, but not fast, if that matters. Me i don't care about fast any more... at least it'd allow you to keep the vert and get better than 10 mpg.

Also, to do that I would need to swap the motor and the transmission, driveshaft and mounts.  It's not an inexpensive operation - but a good thought.  Thanks!

Any car with a clean title for $100 is worth purchasing. Heck, you could scrap it for more than that, but why scrap a Mopar, right?

True, but that particular car Dave posted was going for 2 grand.  It looks sweet, although the seller did not mention what motor and trans the car had.  (See, I've looked!!)

I just sent the seller of that car in Red Bluff a question about the motor and transmission that are in it.  You guys got me to thinking... and that hurts my head.

Next week, I'm having a look at possibly my next Mopar, this time something small and fuel-efficient.

That car turned out to be even more fuel-efficient than anticipated: it was already sold before I took the plane

Some pics though:

No worries, had a good stay in Hungary anyway and there's 100 million other cars for sale, so will manage

If what the '62 New Yorker got can be an indicator (18 Hwy), I'll bet this Imp gets better than my Newp.
