Nothing says Steve can't simply get all the pieces first, then do it later. She has a turbo, right? Hate to put a 4 cylinder in there and not have enough power. Gearing will be very important in this one.

Yes it's turboed with a matching 5 speed alison trans.  I can easly get 450 HP and 800 FT Lbs of torque ut of that.  Room to spare in the engine compartment, and lighter than an RB and trans by 150 #

Sounds like an interesting project, although one charm of the old boats is the V8-rumble. A ticking diesel simply doesnt sound sexy...

Can you imagine putting in a 4 Cylinder at 400HP at 1500 RPM isntead of 15,000?  LOL
