My New "Canuck" Car
« on: March 03, 2013, 04:17:25 PM »

Bought me another Wagon today. It's a 1981 Plymouth Carevelle. It's the Canadian version of a Dodge Diplomat I guess. Speedo is in Kilometers and underhood stickers are in English and French. Runs and drives great and has ice cols A/C, a neccesity here in Arizona. Here's some pictures

318 and lean burn. What else can a guy ask for! I like the wheels, too!

Man I love that wagon!!  My first car was a 1980 Plymouth Caravelle...2dr...triple green with a 318/auto and 3.21 suregrip.

So what are your intentions for this one?

I would ask for a 318 without Lean Burn.

Well the lean burn is working. It runs great and passed emmissions with flying colors. I love the wheels too. Kinda funny that on the smaller M bodies they are 7 inch wide while on the bigger c bodies they are 6.5 inches wide.

Always liked those small wagons.  Had a church member with a '79 Le Baron; I borrowed it one Christmas when we were given a crib as a present and it could not fit in our Lynx!  Nice car.  Had a neighbor with the same car but with a 360 in it.  Now that would e cool to get!!!  Nice score Chris!

Well I'll get bored with it eventually Brian but I'm going to keep it for now and drive it. The emmisions are good untill November 2014 and the registration was only $45 till then also. The A/C blows cold (still R 12) so my plan is to drive it through the long hot Arizona summer. In fact the previous owner who is a mechanic installed an auxilary fan on the condenser that goes on with the compressor so hopefully even on the hottest days here it should keep me cool.
