Allow me to elaborate.  I will buy the Virgin from Steve if we can find a way to get it to Oregon.  Got a quote from DAS for 1725.00 to move it here.  Much, much to rich for my blood.  Whatever ideas you guys have, we are all ears, and I will be eternally grateful.

Post the move on Uship.com.  I got the desoto moved from S. Cali to Oregon through them.

Too bad we couldn't work out a relay across country.  If I was closer, and in the US, I'd pull it a few hundred miles just for fun and to help out.

Brians right. Try U ship. I've had good luck with it in the past although last week I tried to get a qoute on hauling a 71 Sport Suburban Wagon  from South Dakota and only got a few offers and none cheaper than $1600. I think the problem is there is not alot comming or going to South Dakota.

I have a request for quote out there, and I will see if I have any favors to call in at work.  I've been at the same flat bed/heavy haul company for 12 years now...... carrman2012-07-01 13:23:34

Fly me out to NJ, I'll drive across the US on your expense, and then fly/train me back to Chico.  Now, when could I do this?  Perhaps September.....

Also this time of year there are not a lot of cars being moved around...show car/cruise season.  Later this fall you'll probably have better luck trying to find someone moving a car in your direction.

Maybe post over on Moparts as well.  They have a shipping/hauling section too.  Some guys haul a car out to a big car show, sell the car and then have an empty trailer coming back.  This is how I got my 70 Sport fury from PA to WA...guy went to Carlisle..sold the car he brought out, and wanted a back haul...in I stepped.

I suppose I could move it west 250 miles to Ohio if that would make it easier

Hmmmmmmm.  Ohio's a bit closer.  Wish we had someone in the state we could have pick it up there.  I fear our membership is spread too thin across the US and Canada to do a relay.
