Found my problem!
« on: May 21, 2012, 08:00:47 AM »

For almost a year I had a problem with my Newport of it dropping a cylinder.  It started last July after I drove the car to Chico.  The car would run fine until I would drive some distance on a freeway; once I left the FW one cylinder would drop for a short while.

I had not liked the way it mounted on the plug, so it did not surprise me that it might be the problem.  I put on a new wire and viola!

I sure enjoy drive that car again - Thank you Jesus!  Am about to drive to Sacramento to have lunch with my former Brother-in-law - going to waste some gas!!!

Well Scott, immediately the first thing I thought of was a plug cable, same thing happened to me a few years ago, but on the 7, which is #@$!@ to access on an Imperial. Enjoy the ride!

You know if you had an Aussie car that wouldn't be an issue

I would think their cars are even worse due to the off centre placement of the block making it even tighter for them.

Ya, they're still tied to the Queen's apron strings up there... except in Quebec. In Vermont they call 'em Queebs.
