Carpet question
« on: June 11, 2012, 05:29:33 PM »

I am in the process of installing my new carpet and need some info. Does anyone have a picture of the carpet edge at the sill plate? Where does the carpet stop?

Under the plate far enough that it has a clean look, usually right around two inches in.

If you have one, steam the rug down before you put the sill plates on.

Steve, sounds like your brain is functioning pretty good. I hadn't thought of steam. Heat gun, sure, but steam, pretty good, I gotta  say.

Thanks. I sure hope these were reference photos you had and that you didn't pull off the sill just for my benefit.

Now that's a pal, and a positive role model for all of us to follow.

Workin, movin, falling asleep at da sewing machine....

Pebble Beach time at the resto shop.... 3 cars going by mid August....

gotta be moved into my new house by mid-July....

working on interiors at night to pay for the move and 7 grand worth of root canals and caps I need now

haven't had time for a car show or cruise night yet this year....

with all the rain, been trying to keep the back acre of grass from growing past 12 inches

time on the pooter has been limited mostly to weather, news, and home improvement related

on the bright side, I replaced the wrecked Eldorado with a red 2001 Chrysler 300M

but all this pales in comparo to Polaraco's sitch....how have ya been doin Steve?
