I bought a set in '08 for $300, or a little bit over that, so there is your floor price

Depends on the condition of the rotors, and calipers.  If your going to be replacing those anyway then they should not be factored into the price.  I'd start at $250 and see what he says.

I bought a set for $150.  It came with everything including backing plates.  I planned on getting new rotors and calipers anyway so the price was good.   Turned out to be from a '71 not a '73 - that made it a financial nightmare!

I would replace the balljoints at the time you make this swap.  They are right there anyway.

Nope different lower control arm/ball joint set-up.

So....  I can get the spindles and usable rotors for $125...  Are the caliper brackets part of the spidle, or are the bolt ons?  I ask because I have not seen them yet.

and to answer the "replace the ball joints while you are there" issue.... I only have ~6500 miles on the entire front end.......I should be good there.

Caliper brackets are bolt on.  Actually I think a set of 71/72 calipers will bolt right on

'71 calipers will not work on '73 rotors.  I know that for certain; I don't think '72s would work either.

Yes the caliper mounts bolt on.  Try and get them as well, but you don't need them.  Why would the 71/72 calipers not work?  I used the ones off my 71 Chrysler 300 on the 73 spindles I had...no problems.  All this went on my wagon.  Only problem I did have was with the reman calipers.  Seems there are a couple different calipers out there.  Some are darn close but just don't quite fit.  I got one that was correct and worked fine...the other I fought with for a couple days before figuring out it was just dimensionally wrong.

Then, once I got the proper calipers, did it hit me that the brake hoses I had purchased would also be wrong?  No!!!  I had to replace those too!
