That's the best way to do it! One person sells, one person does paperwork. What else could you ask for? Hey, keep it up, sounds like it gets you out of the house for a few hours a few days of the week, and you get to meet people and talk cars. What a deal!

Sounds like you've found your calling Steve! Congrats!! Quite a few
dealerships have guys that specialize only in trucks, some bigger ones
have guys selling even only commercial trucks, right up your alley. On
top of that, some of the auto analysts are prediciting a very good year
for sales coming up. It can be a real boom-or-bust business, but for
now your timing is good!

I've thought about a Ram, I had 2 in the past and miss a p/u, but the
mid-size SUV V6  seems to meet our needs best and this XTerra gets
an amazing true 27 mpg on the trips to VT!  I wish someone would
make a mid size SUV or Dakota-sized crew cab with 4 cyl Turbo-Diesel...
now that I could get on board with!

I can agree with that. Diesels aren't what they used to be, they are almost good car engines these days.

Measure the distance between the rad and the water pump hub.  I might have something to fix you up.  Brand new clutch and vintage fan.  If it fits, $100.00

Way to go Steve.  A guy who is a "regular guy" and knows his $hit when it comes to trucks,  will out sell a professional salesman any day....at least in my opinion anyway.  I know if I was buying a new vehicle I'd rather deal with a guy I can relate to.

Me too.  But I usually know more about them than they do.  There is one other guy there who was my salesman who is pretty good.  We're going to team up with each other as needed.

That is awesome,Steve.
A brain of your capacity cannot stay idle for short periods of time.
A personality like yours cannot live behind a computer since you are such a people person (extrovert)
Feast now...starve later. Been there working at stealerships.
Sounds like Just Servers may be picking up the slack from the dealership not the other way around you anticipated,LOL!!
Now that the house is almost self sufficient, maybe the long awaiting multiple projects can be self suffients enough to get finished like the Letter car,the Diamond,Big Red,etc.
Hey,whatever it takes to make the sale and close it.
If the guy wants a steak, get him one pronto.
I had the great fortune of meeting Steve Ferrante of Pinnacle Performance and his sales training is just absolutley phenomenal.

Well he does say just enough to not sound too obvious but if you read all his posts it reads like an excuse to get his spam link out there, nothing more.
