My 69 Moncao Wagon Is Now Officially My Daily Driv
« on: March 03, 2012, 05:18:55 PM »

Today I took it thgough emmosion testing ( It Passed ) and got tags for it. I had a 1969 Arizona plate that I was able to use on it as a "Year Of Manufcture" plate. Here's a picture. It looks kinda cool on there I think.

Cool barge. You can practically get a car on a rotisserie in the back to work on, and you still have the little  Dart, right?

Oh yeah, I still have the Dart. With gas prices where they they are and where they're going I'm keeping it to drive. I love driving the Monaco Wagon but the HP 383 is not a gas mizer at all.

Yeah Brian that was my plan but I couldn't really keep them both. I put them both up for sale and the 300 sold so the Monaco won by default. Since I do love wagons I'm really not too disapointed LOL.

[/QUOTE] Bingo Rog! (Pun Intended) Actually this wagon does have some rust on it. It came from Ed's neck of the Woods, (or Beach) Poway California. Spent it's life a little too close to the coast. I can overlook the rust since it runs and drives great (now after a bunch of work). Only 113,000 original miles and the HP 383.

Well that there is a darn good reason.  Heck we have a few people in management at work who go their positions the same way......

Most of the rust, unless it is within two miles of the ocean itself, is fine dust and humidity, which works its way into the drains and under the edges of chrome, then gets wet and stays wet. Same results, different reason.

Couldn't stand seeing that 69 plate attached to that rusty crusty bumper so I bought a rechrome for it Makes a big difference but now I need to do the front too.
