When bondo is used to smooth something out to remove imperfections, not a problem. When bondo is used to cover over a problem, then it is. Chances of finding a car without any bondo is very rare, and very expensive. I have some 30+ year old bondo covering the chrome holes on my Nash and it is still there, and you can only tell it is there because at the time I didn't know how to prep it better, but it isn't cracked and it is holding up just fine. I wouldn't worry about it, and it is cheaper than 20 coats of primer sanded off, right?

Agreed.... straightening vs hiding are definitely 2 different things.....

I just sat here and counted it up.... the trunk lid came from another car, the left 1/4 and rear panel/valance came from Alabama, the right 1/4 from Iowa via Pennsylvania, right fender from Texas, front valance from out west but forget what state, the hood from 3 blocks away...  and the uncut dash frame came from down south somewhere.....   AND if you count the car we started with, we have 8 cars wrapped up into one package....

This has been the smallest car I've re-done to be a very nice driver, but has by far had the most done to it..... I think I'm learning as much as Jake is on this one....

This is all great, and definitely a learning experience to see how much of this kind of stuff Jake wants to do in the future. I always say because it was the way my Dad taught me, a big project all the way through (yeah, four houses and a restaurant from getting a bulldozer and cleaning the ground to the last finish nail, not to forget ground up restorations), if you do the big things, the little things/projects aren't as overwhelming in the future. Great job, Dad.

We started making the
interior doorpanels... Sheet of hard board/panel, 2.5 yards of naugahyde (sp?),
a sharpie and a can of spray adhesive... and the old ratty panels to use as a
pattern... just gonna be smooth and black....We plan to incorporate 1/2 of the
door panel clips instead of trim screws thru the front... AND the wife let us
