Thanks all.

The flooded house is where my cousin Rich lives, the garage out back is
where my Uncle and I work on his Model A Fords. Where I live about 1/2
mi away is up on a hill and had only minor basement water, but right around us some
people had completely flooded basements.  The yellow rental house
that we own where my Son and his college room-mates live is only 3
blocks from Rich and is where all my cars are garaged, it had not ONE
drop, either in basement or garage! Go figure -  right next door
to my son the neighbors lost a brand new finsihed-off basement... dry
wall, carpet, all furniture and appliances ruined. I bought my son's house
from a family friend because I knew it had a good dry basement, but still...  it
all seems so random.

Wow.  This is terrible.  When I think of places where it was worse - wow!!  Good luck to you in this clean-up time.
