Pics from the block where my cousin lives, the clean up begins. The
Linc was moved about 30 ft by the flood water, it was up to the top of
the hood.

It's my uncle's garage, I help him work on the A's.  He's 85, but still working, with assistance!

All that silt is toxic, contaminated with sewage and heavy metals. We
have to wear a special mask just to walk around there, its nothing to
fool around with.  We've hired a Disaster Clean Up company to come
in to clean up and de-contaminate, but that's very kind of you to offer
help. We're just trying
to get our head around it at this point. The water only receded yesterday, we went to
VT on Friday because we knew there was nothing we could do 'til the water
went down. You should see the basement, 4" of toxic mud & slime.

Leaburn - the guy you met at the gas staition when you were here was my
cousin, this is his house, his dad's garage and Model As. You can see
the water line on the trash can in the next pic. 2+ feet over the
basement height.

Glad everyone is alright, but that is one thankless job you have ahead of you in not one , but two places.  That is a very dirty and back-breaking chore. Hopefully you will have enough volunteers to speed up the process.  It was bad enough cleaning up a basement that had clean groundwater  due to a defective sump pump. I also remember many years ago vacationing in your area going to the Corning Museum and seeing how high the water was after their big flood.
PS. I apologize for getting the other thread off track.

I'm confused.  You have damage at both houses?

Maybe I'm confused. I thought his house had some damage as well.
