Thanks

I do feel achey, but that could be from all of the Pebble beach work we completed that day. As soon as the cars were loaded, I left and that happened......

Yup the Cad was (is still ) running great, and got 25 mpg going to work that day.

The woman who hit me didn't call 911 (like I did), she called he husband who showed up looking for a fight! Claimed I gave her a hard time ( I only yelled at her "didn't you see us stopped?!?", to which she answered no.) He tried to convince me to sell him my car at book value....what an insult! I stayed in my car until the cop arrived and then he became all apologetic and wanted to keep this from their insurance....yeah, right....like I'm gonna let that happen....

Control room for one of the 16" gun turrates.  The breech room was closed off as the powder magizines.  But I did get to see a shell elevator.

You can see the magazine on the Alabama which is moored in Mobile, and you can see the gun breech on the Texas that is in Galvaston, I think.  But the 'bama is the only 16" gun ship on which you cna see the magazine.

I've been on it and the Massachusettes, have not been on the Texas.  The Texas is the only pre-WWII Dreadnought kept as a museum in the U.S.  Would like to visit it.

I'm ok for now.....it was raining hard and we were following a 65 Chev pickup doing 38 in a 50mph zone. He turned left into a driveway and the 3rd vehicle back (a woman in a SUV) probably was trying to go 50 and plowed into me. I'm lucky that I didn't hit the truck in front of me....

Great pics Steve....any of the anchor chains? Ever see that property in Mountain Lakes along the Boulevard with the huge ships chains made into fencing? (strung from stone pylons)
