Finally Started Working On One Of My Own!
« on: May 11, 2011, 06:57:00 PM »

I've been spending all my time working on everybody elses cars for so long that I haven't done much on my cars lately. Well today I got some interior work done on my Daily Driver 64 Dart. The front seat is so bad it's too uncomfortable to drive so I picked up a set of bucket seats at Spring Fling and dropped them off at my Upholstery guy's along with the back seat. Today I got the back seat back so I pulled out the front seat and all the nasty old carpet and insulation. I cleaned all 47 years of dirt and crap out and installed the back seat. On Friday we will install the carpet and front seats. Here's some pictures of the progress so far.

This is a trade with a buddy of mine so dollar wise it's just material costs.

Most of the A, B and E bodies have pre-sewn seat covers available at very reasonable prices... no such luck with our C-whales!! :-(

Ummm, Chris, does this mean you are getting tired of her this fast and getting ready to sell her?

Thanks Brian. They are a set of 64 - 65 A body buckets that I bought at Spring Fling for $50. azblackhemi2011-05-13 19:08:27

No ED, I'm gonna keep her as a daily driver. Just want to make her a little nicer than she was.

Just razzing you. I remember you showing me the samples and the mention it was time to make her a little more comfortable for you. Heck, that was just last Sunday, but then again, you tire of a ride so easily, thought I would double-check, just in case.
