I hang my head in shame
« on: May 03, 2011, 12:21:52 PM »

I did a very un-mopar think yesterday.. I put traction bars on my Windsor..

The wrap up on the springs was getting really bad and I want to go out to the track a couple times this spring and don't want to break anything..

They really seem to help... I would love to have the cash for new springs or some Caltracs but these 30 year old bars kept staring at me saying " put me on the Windsor before you break a spring" so I did it..

I looked underneath and it would be a pain to use a pinion snubber of the 8 3/4 cause the floor is so far up at the axle then what was on my F body...

I ask all of you to forgive me for this terrible deed....

What was so bad about that?  Granted Chebbys need them more then mopars do.  I'm surprised you haven't put springs in it yet

Been working on the motor... then on to patching the 1/4's. I might have found a parts 65 I will need to rape. Hopefully I can steal the springs off it and take them in to the spring shop so they can make me a new leaf or 2 or 3...
