For the tamk and fairing with the flames and some other pieces with just the gold wss $1500. Custom work prices vary depending on time spent.  I have an airbrush artist friend that I bring in for anything more elaborate than flames or stripes and that drives up the price considerably.

Darn nice work!!  I wish I were closer, I've got maybe one more
really good resto to do for the right 1950s car, maybe my '56 Olds,
maybe a '50s Mopar or GM vert, and I always farm out paint for really
good cars, don't get enough practice to approach top pro quality.
Adding transpo costs makes it prohibitive though... just one more
reason to move to AZ.

Actaully I sprayed the red first. Then I outlined the flames with 1/16th fine line tape to make the red outline first. Then I srayed it all black. When the black dried I corered inside the outline and sprayed the gold. After that dried I pulled all the tape off andd clearcoated it. Not too hard of a job, just alot of masking.

I wish I could do freehand pinstripping but I'm nowhere near steady enough. Even when I'm sober!
