Does anyone know anything at all about these units? Looks like a vacuum system operated by a pump?   Also FYI, I've seen several comments about a guy named Steve Hobby (none of them positive)...well....i bought his 59 Windsor project and I now totally agree with all of you!

Well Well Well

If it isn't the Whiner.  I thought I was rid of you.  Greg and I agreed you, in fact, were the problem.  You never should have threatened me.   You got  hello of a lot of car for the price. . .   But you are obviously in LaLa land out there in Ohio.

As the owner of the site, I don't want you around here.  You belong over with the Nathan D Manning crowd.  You fit right in.

The seat needs a relay jerk wood.  The power seats are ELECTRIC stupid

Yeah  as long as you didn't have to back it up.  LOL  Remember, I'm not the one who ruined that car.  But I am in total control of it's reconstruction.

BTW,the warranty ran out in 1961.
It appears to me this guy is worse than Mobby when it comes to having a relationship with cars,LOL.
I dont have time for people like that--nor does Steve.
I liked that 59.I helped Steve put the motor in it.
If I had my time back-and cash-I would have bought it.

I wonder if this guy went through life with this attitude.

I didn't even sell him the car!  I sold it to a guy in Jersey.  He sold it to this clown.  He's clueless apparently.  The problem is he claims the Vin plate was missing off the car.  I remember it being there because I had the picture on eBay when I listed it on ebay.  But i didn't save the pictures.  Shame on me.

Greg told me he was notified he was losing his job in January and was emptying his "Toy Box" for the pending lay off.  He sold the car to this guy, Mike in Ohio.

I was down getting the 300H when I get this call from my buyer, Greg.  Greg tells me this guy is whining and threatening him because the Vin plate is gone.  Greg tells him the chain of events and brings me in.  I got the whole rundown from Greg and agreed to call him.  Then the guy goes and threatens me!  Claiming a conspiracy.  He thought I got money for the sale too.  But not from him.  I went off on Mike and told him what to do to himself.   Later on, Greg asked me if I could make a Vin plate.  So I made one.  Greg sent it to him and all went quiet.

I have no idea what Greg told him about the car to sell it.  But I imagine he told him what it needed.  Mostly it needed some electrical work and a front end alignment.  The brakes needed some attention under the dash, but were right there.  You just needed to apply allot of pressure to the pedal.  The shifter being out of whack, I dunno.  It may be the cable oxidized and is binding a bit, or it needs adjustments.

Choosin blues...
Excellent screen name for someone messing with the Joisey mob.

What makes you think you can invole and threaten people about a matter they did not need to get into that was none of their concern?
Sure he USED to own the car IN THE PAST.
But that does not give you the right to harrass him.
Dragging Steve into this mess is like dragging your wife's (unless you are gay) past boyfriends into your relationship---not a good idea..get it?
I do care about my buddy Steve.
Shaking the foundation of the moparfins house will make it crash down upon you.
Go bugger off, go cry the "blues' to the FL crowd.
I am banned from there anyways,so I dont care.

Why do you think I have been just cutting up the cars the last few years?  That's the first car I have sold since the 71 Fury to Sjak's buddy.  And the last good dealI have done too.  Part of the reason the virgin is still around

Come on Mike. . .   We're waiting for you to do something else dumb.

He got too emails.  He's probably running around flailing his arms in anger now.  Poor Poor thing.  Maybe he got the lesson he needed for the last 60 years.

If I remember, when I last spoke to him, I asked him if he was always paranoid or if this was recent.   Kinda reminds me of Ira.

Yeah I am provoking him.

Wait, he didn't buy the car from Steve and Steve actually got involved even though he didn't have to...what did I miss here???  I would think to myself - wow...the guy that sold the guy I bought the car from is nice enough to get involved to try and figure out what's happening.  WTF is the big conspiracy?  What I miss here?  Even if the VIN plate was missing...who cares?  Make another one and call it done - you have a title and the rest...what's the big deal?
What's that saying, Steve?

Oh yah....DAMNED KIDS!

Something like that.  He was threatening Greg he was going to sue him. . . Claimed a conspiracy between Greg and I, Fraud, all sorts of stuff.   And he was harrassing him with frequent phone calls.   I only got in it to get the pest off Gregs back.  The SOB was calling Greg, several times, every day.  He didn't have the seeds to call me again because I laid into his sorry ass.  He later found out he had not grounds to sue me.

Idiot.  Shot his mouth off and made an enemy.  Now he needs help with the car and I am not going to give the moron any more than he's gotten.  To start with, he has no idea what he has or is talking about on the car alone.

I'll give you $100 for the car now.

What a cretin, VACUUM power seats? Anyone that stupid has no
credibility with anybody with a brain anyhow.... oooh, and while he's
at it, he better watch out for the defective muffler bearings and the
leaky piston solenoids on that '59... sheesh.

Selling cars is always a crap shoot, I've sold about 150 in my day and
can tell you that a certain small % of buyers are certified wackos that
will always find something to kvetch about... well, congrats, you got
one!  Only one thing you can do about him:  fuggededaboudit!
