New Shop Truck.
« on: December 13, 2010, 05:41:12 PM »

I figured that I need to have a cool shop truck that I could letter up and use to pick up parts and for advertising my business. I guess for now this will be it. It's a 66 A100 van. It's a 8 door with no rust or dents. Slant 6 with 3 on the tree. Runs and drives good. I'm tempted to leave it the way it is but if I'm gonna use it for advertising I guess I better paint it up real nice.

Cool ride and perfect for parts chasing.
Doors on both sides,eh? I guess the 1996 Dodge Caravan designers had some influence from the A-100 when they introduced sliding doors on both sides.
IIRC,both the Chevy and Ford vans of the same era as your van did not offer doors on both sides.

Thank you Rob. I was hoping you saw this because I remember you were wanting one. I actually bought it in a package deal with this 64 Dart.                    azblackhemi2010-12-14 10:02:03

Us Canucks never saw the fugly front end treatment of thast Dart up here.
We got the Canadian  Valiant which was a Dart body but had a Valiant front clip.
Another Plodge so to speak.
To add insult to unjury,we had two different wheelbases--longer dart one for the higher trim levels, shorter (re REAL Valiant) wheelbase for lower trim levels.
