I have been watching this one, but didn't post because all I ever hear is "this guys nuts....too expensive....yadda yadda"....

That is a good price for a truly great car. The market has seemed to shift more towards the 60's Letter 300's (hence the crazy $150-170K prices on those lately) so grab any deals in the 55 -59 300 series while you can

BTW, the correct pieces (motors, manifolds, carbs, chrome trim) for the early Hemi Letter cars are very expensive still, so make sure they come with the car....even if the car is a rusty mess those parts make them worth the $$$$$

which one ....my grandpa's 77 Coupe or my 91 Eldo?

(BTW the Eldo has new gen 3 Bosch fuel injectors on it from a 5.0 Mustwang and now runs great and gets 25-26 mpg!)

When's your '55 gonna look that that white one Bawb?

you haven't gotterdone by now?

BTW there's 3 Kelsey Hayes wires in the local yard on an '56 Imp
Southampton, cannibalized and too far gone to restore,... do they fit a
'55 ny'er?

A friend of mine bought a 54 Packard Caribbean out of a junkyard just for it's wire wheels....he ended up restoring it instead

Stan? Why don't you dump the frankenstiened four speed Formal for a piece of history at a fraction of its cost to restore
You cannot restore that 300 for its asking price.
Take out the middle man ( the compaony selling the car on the owner's behalf) it can be a real bargain for a beautifull car.
Somenone is ging to buy it since it is well known within the 300 letter car community.
