Optional seats for Fuseys
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:20:16 AM »

My original F3 had a High Back Bench front seat with folding center
armrest, where the tapered top part of the seat back acted as a
built-in headrest, similar to Mopar high back bucket seats, there were
no separate head rests on posts that could be raised and lowered.
I've seen them on Fury, Polara and Newport 4 dr sedans and 4 dr
hardtops, but were Hi-back bench seats also available on higher end
models, such as NYer and Monaco Brougham?  Were they available all
Fusey years 69 to 73?

Yes, Stanley - that be it!!!  Anybody seen one lurking in a
yard?  Mine was all vinyl (read... sticky in the summer time).
Cloth I like. So it appears that it was std in NYer and optional in the "lesser" models. Good to know.

Do NOT buy 40 year old seats from a junkyard.  Ask me why I know.....

Hmmmm... but as they say, they ain't makin 'em any more!

NY not being FL, maybe less likely to have critters or cooties in 'em here...

Lea might've found one at Roblins up in Canada, if car is still in the yard.

Speaking of seats, a good friend is looking for buckets for his 69 Roadrunner. Any suggestions?

Well, he can't have MINE! I've had them since 1983

But.....look for a 69 Sport Satellite....that's what I took mine out of all those years ago

Look at the Imperials, as well. Mine had leather with "Iraq cloth" (not sure if there were any IED's in them, tho) and were very comfy

My favorite Fusey seats are the 73 Imperial 50/50 split bench, much more comfy than the Imp bucket or full bench.

I agree, the High-back split bench was really comfortable to sit on.
