1941 plymouth coupe
« on: October 05, 2010, 07:51:48 AM »

Partially due to seeing other people getting stuff done on their cars here i have decided there should be no reason in the world i couldn't do mine.  I have finaly started work on my project again. I have started with a 1941 Plymouth business coupe. I am puting an AMC pacer front suspension under it for disk brakes with a mopar bolt patern and power steering. For an engine i am going to put a steel crank 67 440 in with an automatic. The rear end will come out of a 1968 Coronet wagon and i have some posi units for an 8 3/4. The out side will be basicaly stock. I will post pictures tonight.

Turns out my junkyard pacer front end had some damage on it, we didn't notice on first inspection. One bent upper control arm and one lower control arm from earlier pacer. lucky me we had an AMC guy come in that just happened to have a spare pacer sub frame in his back yard and needed a 62 chevy hood and a few emblems off our javelin so i now have plenty of spare parts. This pacer thing will work out great gives me power rack and pinion steering and disk brakes on the frontand  it will only be about 3/4 of an inch wider than original.
