Quiting My Job and Going Out On My Own
« on: August 28, 2010, 08:17:47 PM »

After 38 years of punching a time clock I'm done. My company has changed and is no longer going to be the great place to work that it has been for 21 years. Luckily for me I will receive a pretty decent severance package. I will walk out of there with alot of great memories along with a bit more than a years pay.  I have no intentions of looking for another job. I'm going to work for my self out of my garage. I have a 2100 sq ft garage with a spray booth, lift, plasma cutter, welders and just about everything I need to make a decent living. I have been doing side work and buying and selling cars and parts for 20+ years so I'm confident I can make this work. I've been gearing up for this for almost a year now and have a huge inventory of about 25 cars and tons of parts. Besides selling cars and parts I will be doing restoration work. Now that I will have the time to put in to it I'm exiceted about restoring cool old Mopars instead of working on Buses. I know that most of the members here are on the other side of the continent from me but if anyone is looking for the highest quality paint and body work on your cars give me a shout. Wish me luck, Thanks Chris.

Looks like the 68 Fury is getting its eviction notice very soon out of  the paint booth.

BTW,I quit the stealership a week ago and I am back at my old job.
they needed me back since the kid they hired in place of me is going back to school.

The 68 Fury already got it's eviction notice, all the way to a new owner. Glad to hear you're out of that dishonest Dealership way of doing business. Your integrity is worth alot.

Wish I was closer to you Chris, I have a couple vehicles that could use a paint job.

Sure Snotty, That would be a piece of cake. Not much more than painting a hood on a C Body!
