Yeah it's nice to have room to work but it seems no matter how much you have you always want more.

That's for sure... but at least you have just about the perfect climate for body & paint work.

And the best cars anywhere to start with!

[/QUOTE] Yes we do on both counts. The only thing is in the summer you have to start painting at 5 am so when God turns on the solar baking oven at about noon you're done LOL.

That's right Lea, I started with 1500 sq ft and am now at 2100 and am now planning to at least put up a large awning so I can have some outside bays. If I covered my whole 2 acres with garage I'd still want more!

I got all the color and clear on yesterday. I'm done with this car untill the owner is ready to continue. He has his own restoration shop and is very busy with a long line of customer jobs waiting so his goes on the back burner for now. Next up for me will be a 67 Barracuda convertable.

Hey!  That's the color of the 68 Fury!!!

Looks good from here. . .  Car has more paint on it now than it did from the factory.  Just like the New Yorker

No, It's base / Clear. Single stage just doesn't have the durability or depth. On a show car like this that's gonna be garaged and taken care of single stabe would work but to me Basecoat is much easier especialy with a mettalic color like this B5 blue. azblackhemi2010-12-15 10:05:35

I agree.  Unfortunately, there is no mix codes for the color I am using on the Chrysler.  I'm planning on painting the car with this Nasson single stage Polyurathane, and hitting it with a couple of coats of clear to get the depth.  I see this stuff chips pretty easily

If you put clear over single stage, is there any prep, or can you just shoot over it?

Couldn't they color match using a computer so you could use the base/clear?

Still busy as Heck. Just got done priming and seam sealing a 71 Cuda that had the back half replaced and started today on a 67 Barracuda 'vert. Here's some pictures.
