If this is the leftover parts car, I can see it is a real shame the car was taken apart to begin with. I imagine, like so many other carcasses, that a lost title or deceased person was most likely the cause of this.

So I guess you either have the other parts needed to complete this beauty, or are we all on the lookout for pieces you need now?

Wow.  That sucks a big one.

You can say that again.  If Steve wants to tell the whole story he can.

No lost title or a dead person, although Steve had been told someone died.  Your words about a real shame were echoed to us by a man's wife.

I listed what was missing - all other parts were there.  Steve started making calls that day for AC stuff and other items.  He had a motor and a trans with him on his truck when he arrived.  He had been told the motor and trans were taken by a junkman.

As DC Talk once sang in a song, "The Truth is Out There."

Out of respect for Snotty, and the fact I loved this car to begin with, I am going to put it back together.

This is what it was when we started.  It was supposed to be refurbished, strip the trim and repainted ect. . .  But I left it in the hands of a bunch of chimps.  Or Chumps, However you want to look at it. . .   Both in this case.  As you saw, that was what was left.  It is saveable, and I have lots of parts here and Moors has everything else.  Had I known, I could have grabbed some of the stuff while I was there getting a 65 engine and trans for this car.  A slow burn has been smoldering since I saw the car for the first time in 3 years.

The wheels Snotty is referring too, were on the car.  Now it has a set of Ford wheels on it.  MMMMMM   The trans, which 62's are hard to come by, was completely rebuilt and ready to install.

Stan, It's a real long story.

Steve, looking at these pictures show more that's not there - the springs and brackets for the hinges are gone as well.

See, I had said the orange box was on the fender well.

The brake booster was still there - whoo-hoo!

Did you get it unloaded?

I'll be damned.  You have no idea how nervous I was handling that glass.  I didn't want to be the one who caused irreplaceable glass to be destroyed!  I sure did burn my scalp that day..................
