Dust shield to spindle gasket.

On my disc brakes, there is a foam type gasket that goes between the dust shield plate and the spindle.  Don't see them listed anywhere.  Are they available or make my own?

I bet making your own will be quicker and cheaper than finding a replacement.

Last I checked they were not available, but I did not check places like Year-one or Layson's.

Year-one is a joke, they relabel/resell with a steep increase in price.

I agree, but if you need a part and cannot find it....  They are always my last choice but sometimes deals with the Devil can't be helped.

Do you really need the part at all?

Did you make that yourself?  If so, where do you get the material?

Thanks,

Very clever.

Does anybody know of a source for flat sheets of that sort of foam?

Some of your packing materials are made out of that stuff, so I guess the answer would be, "made in China". dana442010-08-28 18:02:39
