Picked up a 70 300 'Vert
« on: July 16, 2010, 05:37:00 PM »

The 70 300 convertable I bought arrived yesterday. It need a complete resto but it is rust free, complete, unbutchered and runs and drives. Looks like it will be a great project. Even came with a set of 6 Road Wheels. It will be alot of work but it has no major issues other than the fact that is has been sitting for years. I will be looking for a few parts soon so if anyone has 70 300 parts let me know. Off hand I will need a trunk lid and a rear bumper. The ones on the car are repairable but if I can find better for a reasonable price that will be the way to go. Here are some pictures. It was kinda dark in my garage so I apoligize for the lousy picture quality.

You're right Rob. It must have flared up through the carb at one time. The hood just has paint damage and a little insulation is burned off the engine harness but everything electrical under the hood works.

Well optioned car.
A/C,AM/FM 8-track,power windows,power buckets,rimblow steering wheel,cruise,cornering lamps.
Disc brakes?? based on the master??
Only 1077 300 verts were built in 1970,the last year for 'verts.
With the options on this puppy,it makes it one of few built this way.

With the tan interior,a 300H vert can be made possible,LOL!!
Hey,that rad appears to be too small for that car?????

Another nice score by Chris.

Lea's right on again! Lots of options. Yes on the disc brakes and both front seats are power. The only real bummer is no fender tag. Hasn't been on it for a long time. I'm hoping for a good build sheet under the rear seat so I can have one made.
