Not much today, and I was on a roll
Got this far and then I had to halt my outdoor adventure when the droplets fell from the sky    Man those layers of paint were tough. 60 grit was having a tough time with it.

Then..... Hermann  (BigBlockMopar) posted a pictire of his 65 300 on a patch of snow. The turquoise just popped and now I am committed to this combo, but will have to spring for a new roof. Really want to see it finished now. Thank you Hermann!

Glad I could help... LOL
When I had just bought my 300, it was dark blue with a white'ish' interior. At least I thought it was white. Later on it turned it was light blue, but it was bleached by the Arizona sun.
This was after I had sprung for an entire new black roof and interior. I had the car re-upholstered in the US before it came across the pond.
I had chosen black as that the easiest color to chose an exterior with.
Very shortly I had decided I would want the car to be a deep wine red metallic color. I had also chosen the chosen in the paintshops colorsample-book.
But whaddayaknow... on the day the paintshop actually planned to buy the paint, they came to me with the colorbook in hand, asking me if I was certain about the color.
I sat down with the sample-book in front of me and starting thumbing through it again. And that's when I came across the light turquoise color and I decided that was going to be the color from now on. Just minutes before the paint was actually ordered.
I'm sure a metallic wine red paintjob would've looked nice on the car aswell, but the turquoise color really freshened up the car.
In hind sight, had I known earlier that the original roof and interior color was actually light blue, I would have been tempted to have chosen for the original dark blue exterior and light blue interior.

Nevertheless I'm very happy with how the turquoise color turned out.

Oh and, one 'n' is enough in my name. I'm not THAT much of a
Germannnn...  :o)

I'm not as speedy as Steve, but I'm getting a little more done. The hood is finished - I had the whole thing down to bare metal. Had a neighbour help me remove the trunk lid today. Now it's time for
The trunk opening is ready

The underside of the trunk lid is done

The cowl area is done

That turquoise really does freshen things up. It reminds me of the medium blue metallic color of the 63 Belvedere I had.  Can't wait to see more progress! It's lookin' good!

After seeing the results, I think I am going to do all the bumper brackets as well. It is actually a reasonably priced option when taking into account the time it takes to clean up the parts and then painting. The guy I used had me drop them off first thing in the morning and I picked them up on the way home from work.

Off to get a new heart. When I get back from a mini vacation, it should be ready to pop the hood on and go to the body shop (too bad I can't take it with me this week and hand it over to Chris).

Gotta love progress. Hope the paint job comes out as good as all the prep paint you did. The color is gorgeous for this car.
