Canuk question
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:13:21 AM »

When I was a kid every summer in Vermont in the 50s/60s we drank Cott
soda pop, in Black Cherry, Orange or Cream Soda. Their motto was "Its'
Cott to be Good"  and it was the best!!  originally made in
NY/ CT but at some point it faded out, supposedly sold off to the
Canadian distributor when founder Harry Cott died, no longer
distributed "south of the border".  Rumor has it it's still sold
in Ontario and Quebec... oui ou non? I'd kill to have a Cott Black
Cherry again!

MMMMM   White Rock was another one.

Cott used to be big in 12z sugar free bottles too.

You realize Roger, you'll make a Canuck go to a super market now to find it.  That's worse than being beheaded

Ya, Cott supposedly is the biggest private label soda maker in the
world, Sam's Club Cola etc... but apparently they still make the
authentic Cott soda flavors under their own name up in Ontario.

The Black Cherry and Cream Soda were legendary! The latter, especailly with vanilla ice cream floats!!

Here's my favorite cherry soda...  And it's made in NJ. Americans love Canadian drinks and Canadians love American drinks. Go figure.

Right down the road from me Glen.  Just about everyone has it.  OK so when I go to Leanburns, I'll smuggle some cherry over and bring a different cherry.  Hope it doesn't break. . . .   Guess we're a bit old for that
