Went to the Track Friday Night
« on: June 21, 2010, 07:43:57 AM »

I was with Ebooger at Island Dragway Friday night.

We were having some laughs.  I was doing this, referring to the magazine as a "Rag".  Just when the picture was taken, someone called his name and he turned his head.  Damn.

Could be. . .   I am old. . .  My depends may have been soaked.

That was a real sweet budget restored Super Bee.  He blew the rear at the start after 15 heats.  He was running in the top 5 with a stock 440, hot cam, and single quad.  Made a few heavily modified Camaros look pretty bad.  The Pherds avoided him.

The rice wagons were dropping like flies.  They'd get out there and heat up the tires, and leave a large oil slick when the engines blew apart.

I put my bus up against Boogers Dakota (If you follow the magazine).  We were off the track on the back roads.  1st run, I corkscrewed into the guard rail.  No Damage.  The second run, I lost control on the woas in the road and damn near rolled it.  Third Run, I was passing him and ran out of road. . .   So far, all loosers.

We got out on RT 80 and did a running start.  I was pulling away when the speed limiter kicked in.   (Remember that Lea)  But I did tell him before we did that.  Oh well, he was impressed.  An 8000 pounder kept up with his 3600 pounder.
