Will the driveshaft fit..???

 
How much do I have to change  - engine mounts, and.????

Man  That is a loaded question.
 
I am not quite sure what you are asking.  If the Mo Home trans has the E Brake drum, that should work.  There is a difference in the trans mounts.  Not sure if the flanges are the same, but the E Brake drums might be the same in dimension.  You're going to have to get out the ruler for that one.
 
The engine mounts are interchangeable, the rest is pretty easy.  Imperial industries makes a lever to convert your push buttons to work on the lever trans.  I don't know how he handles the park position

Well, I think the e-brake will work OK, But what about the yoke on the driveshaft, will the 59 yoke fit the 72 tranny..???
 
Is the TF 727 the same length as the 59 Torqueflite..???
 
I 'll try to look at Imperial industries site to find out more, orelse, I'll mount an aftermarket shifter on the buttom of the car..

That doesn't have a slide yoke in it. . . It's a ball and Trunion drive shaft in the 58.  Slide yokes on Chrysler cars started in 65.  If the MoHome trans has a drum, it is mostl likely a bolt on shaft which has a carrier bearing in the middle

I'm almost sure the 1972 tranny goes with a "ball and Trunion" if thats what it's called in 59, to, since it got a simular E-Brake drum..???  question is, if it's alike..???

Last year for "ball and trunion" was 1964.1965 and newer went with the more familiar slip yoke and u-joint.
You cannot mix both together.
With the newer drivetrain,get rid of the E-brake on the tranny.
With the 8-3/4 that is still in the '59,you can use park brake cables and brake hardware,and backing plates from a newr model of C.
The backing plates from '65 to '73 will simply bolt on.Order up brake hardware for the same year of C that you scab the backing plates from.Grab the park brake levers too.
You may have to get the cables custom made.
You can use rods,and cable hardware and adapt  it to thread the cables like a newer C,or use the three/four cable design for B bodies.
The adjuster rod can be made of simple threaded rod and nuts.
The driveshaft length may have to be modified to fit the '59 .Not sure about that,but other members that do please chime in.
Depending on your budget,you can go rear disc brakes as well.

The ball and trunion is an old design and has it moot points.Parts,and repairing them are a PITA (pain in the ass)
Get the pushbutton conversion for the '72 tranny,use the more modern slip yoke that comes with it..
At least the u-joints are much more readily available--even in Europe.

I think what Cowboy is saying is the MoHome trans has the parking drum on it as well.  If it does, it does not have a slip yoke.  The flange, like used on the ball and trunion, bolts to the face of the drum.
 
Cowboy, the 59 already has a ball and trunion.  The drive shafts in 59 bolted to the drum like I described above.  As Leaburn said, the familiar slip yoke wasn't used until 1965.  Chances are, you 59 shaft will bolt right to the parking drum.

That's what I was hoping for..
That's why I ask:  Anybody know for sure, and is the transmisions the same length.(Will the shaft-length work)..????

Backwards

The flang is part of the Ball and trunion.  We don't know if they are the same . .We have to see them.  An educated guess says they are the same.

As far as I know the transmission over all lengths are the same.  The 59  has a cast iron Torqueflite.  The trans mount is in a different location. . . It;s 4 or 5" forward of where it is on the 59. 

When I did mine, I used a mount from a 62 for the pieces I needed and welded them together.
