New ride!
« on: May 14, 2010, 10:47:26 AM »

Just a quicky.... Been a bit very busy with my new job lately and since today also with my new ride. :D
A rusty and crusty 1973 Plymouth Valaint. Bought for 500 euro. It has a great running 6 cyllinder. Only the body needs some work. The volvo is now for sale and the Plymouth is going to be my new daily. ;)

Both are pretty!!
We finally get to see what you look like!!
Tough-yet gentle,reliable,cheap--the car that is,LOL

I see big bolt pattern Ralleyes.Disc brake car??
Good choice in a daily grinder.
My /6 was great on gas--and I can only imagine that is a plus in Europe.
Chrysler sold enough of the Valiants all over the world so parts should not be a problem to keep her running for another 37 years.
Looks like she has a few options--fender mount turn signals, wheel lip moldings, door post and pillar trim, and the vinyl roof.

Loose the ugly big bumper guards. The car will have a much cleaner look to it.
Chrysler put them on to keep the federal safety guys quiet back when the car was new.

Very nice.  :)

I think I have the only other A body here?  I haven't updated it in ages, but here is the thread on my Dart.  http://www.moparfins.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=71

If you are going to drive this one regularly, my suggestion is to do a good check for water leaks.  Both the wiper seals, the windshield gasket, and the rear window gasket are common problems.

Which are you talking about being rusty and crusty? The car or the lady sitting on top??

Man. . .I've seen allot worse, unless that's a Bondo Buggy.

Sweet Ride!  Good Buy.  You can never go wrong with an A Body in decent shape
