The 4895S is the carb # you need to look it up.   Take that to the parts house along with year/make/model of car  & engine &  it should come up.

4-BBL I assume?    I'm too lazy to go look the # up. If it's a 4-BBL & 70 it's an AVS.  Only the Hemi's used an AFB in 70.

You need to check the main site.

Here's a link of a real good place.

http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/

There's some more stuff on
http://www.moparfins.com/Misc_Pages/Links_and_Things.htm

There's also a tech section with repair advice.

Looks like its a BBD 2bbl from a 70' 318 w/ auto and A/C Here's another great link! http://www.mopar1.us/moparcarblist.html  These are notorius for leaks at the throttle shafts, however the link that Steve gave for the carburetor shop has a reamer kit,so that you can ream the body and put in an insert to correct that problem at home instead of sending it out to do!

I just had a hard time finding a carb kit for a friends 68 Super Bee. Finally had to go back to the parts store I used to go to as a kid. Lucky they were still there and the carb tag was still on the carb. It's a 120 mile round trip but got the kit and float. Nice to still have one of those "small" parts stores around instead of these giant, "If'n it ain't in my computer they must not make it anymore," stores.

Ok, this reply has nothing to do with carb's... I just love tranch's signature... and we appear to be almost neighbors.

Per...Glad you have a tag on that carb. That's your ticket to getting the right kit. Best wishes to you on the rebuild. I have found this topic to be quite appropriate for me right now as I'm trying to get the right rebuild kit for my 57 Plymouth 301 ci. 4 barrel Carter WCFB right now. There is no tag on the carb. I've talked with some knowledgeable Mopar guys and have heard that there should be a number on the base of the carb (as well) that will lead me to the right kit...but all I have found is a handful of Patent numbers...leading me to nowhere. Anybody have any advice for me on this? Thanks, Bob
