And I'm seriously cheesed off as well.  I've been searching for days for the transfer case shifter, boot and ring.  Can't find it anywhere.  I still have a few weeks before I'll be close to needing it...so hope it shows up before then. [redface]

Steve, what garage are you talking about? Have you one that is now free of all projects that could be used for a real single project, or the tarp shed/garage?

Well I woke up to snow this morning....



But I still went ahead and got the tranny in today.... ;)





I was freezing and soaked after that...so I called the rest of the day a "Snow day".  Went sledding with my daughters instead....:)

Soaked and tired can be fixed, playing with the kids is more important. Always. They grow up so fast. Heck, I can still remember my daughter waving her diaper at the garbage truck. Today, her older sister gave her her second (more successful) manual transmission driving lesson on flatter Arizona roads and was successful. No, soaked and tired can be warmed and caffeined up to play with the kids any day in my book.

Well now that Christmas is over....I have been able to work on the truck the last couple days.  

Got the tranny cross member all pulled apart...cleaned up...and painted.



As well as several hours cleaning nuts,and bolts on the wire wheel.

And today I got the tranny mount in...mostly.  I had hoped that at least a couple of the existing holes would line up with the bracket....nope.  So will have to drill all 12 of them.

 I still need to get the upper brackets in, and then those 6 holes drilled.

Nope those are used from the second hand store.  I have two of them.  Love them!!  They are great, quick work benches!

Great idea! I shop at the thrift stores on half price Saturday for car wash towels and quilts for padding freshly painted parts. Buying them at half price is cheaper than laundering them.
