what are you using for antivirus?  And is it up to date?  And is it capable of picking up spyware and trojans?

I'm telling you Bob.  It's a local problem.  I'm not surprised with all the places you go on the internet

I hardly go anywhere on the internet....I have 2 Mopar sites, an Upholstery site , the cat site and Wiki, news and ebay. I use ESET NOD32 version 4.0 antivirus (just updated) and Adware/Adwatch.....and of course Firefox is not as susceptible as IE to malware.....

Because the picture thingy says I can only use "Path: /uploads/public", it sounded like someone or something took away my personal settings for all the pictures I've posted in the past.....like on the site's server

That does nothing for me.  Do you recall what number your file was?

I can't find anything wrong with your settings.  And no, nobody messed with you.  I am the only one who can go that deep.

If that's the asware I gave you, it's long expired.  Time to buy a new one.

Try running live updates of the Windows and see what happens.

I had this same problem a while back and the updates fixed it as I recall

Well, I updated Firefox and Windows and still nothing. Adware was updated since I got the original ("Anniversary Edition" now)

The site's FAQ had this :
"Can I post images?

Images can be added to your posts, if the forum
administrators have allowed uploading of images you can use this to
upload an image from your own computer into your message. However, if
image uploading is not available then you will need to link to the image
that needs to be stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g.
http://www.mysite.com/my-picture.jpg."

I am not able to upload pictures directly from my computer..... therefore it isn't being allowed by the site....which is why I think it's on Fins' end.......

any spammers get in lately?

Is it possible I ran out of server allotment space for my pics? If so I can dump some but I have to see them in order to do so....

It is possible Bob, but you are the first. . . .  You'll have to go into your control panel and delete a few of the old ones.  I've allowed 300 Meg for each of us.  That's allot of pictures.

Let me add some space and let's see.  If that's the case, you'll need to delete some.  Give me 10 minutes.  It's 10:35

That wasn't it Bob

I was mistaken, Everyone has 500 Meg of hard drive space.

You just changed your group to "Imperial" which was not allowed to upload anything.  This is just a couple of things left over from when Matt broke the site 2 years ago I guess.  If you recall, all the settings went haywire after that.  I wasn't looking there, but noticed you had changed your level as I was going into the admin section.

Try it now.

OK it's back to normal!

My group is Imperial? How appropriate.....I was New Yorker when all this happened....

How can I delete some of the older pics? I select one but there's no delete command....
