OK  I am out this weekend.  Things don't look that good yet.

Leaburn suggested the following weekend, then we can spend 2 days, 2 guys.

Opinions????

IMO it'd be difficult to fix the 2 cars in 2 days, considering the work
needed, especially with 2 hours+ in travel time back & forth to
Ithaca, so maybe it'd be better to separate the jobs.

Dominic started this thread, so take care of his issues, we
can always deal with mine another time, I'm sure Dom can figure out
arrangements there for next weekend... I can't put off VT any longer, I
need to get there to make
sure my camp
survived winter w/o plumbing damage, I have to drain it completely
every winter: every trap, drain, water heater, toilets, washer, etc,
and we often have problems in Spring from the -25 below winter temps
there , and the town
turns the water back on April 15.

I was going to go to Dominic's on the april weekend anyways.
As Steve mentioned, two days, two guys can get the job done.
Dominic knows of a good hotel near his apartment building.
We can do Roger another time after he takes care of his cottage business.
Warmer weather is always a plus,IMO.

Whatever works for you guys, if I can get my camp water ready next w/e
(Easter), any w/e after that I can be here anytime you can make it, as
long as I know in advance somewhat, as I mentioned before, my wife has
to reserve Friday time off at least a week in advance... we always go
to VT on Fri AM and back Sunday PM... that gives us one whole day there
w/o
driving, in addtion to some time there Fri afternoon and Sunday AM...
wish the
place was closer than 6 hrs away.

In previous engine pulling endeavours I tend to run into problems with
putting it back in more than in the pulling it out part. Plus
installing things like seals and timing gears right. Disconnecting
stuff and pulling, not so much...

I'm sorry you ran into a bit of a situation, Polaraco.  I hope it works out for you.  Truthfully, next weekend is better for me, anyway.  It'll also be warmer.

You guys wanna go with that?  3 guys, 2 days, 1 car - 1st weekend in April?

Roger - I can still swing by this coming weekend if you'd like the help.  PM me if you'd like some company.

It's Easter weekend
Well, I'm certainly not going to speak for anyone else here, but if you can't make it this weekend because of this unexpected emergency - or next weekend because it's Easter - I'm certainly not going to bust your stones over it.  I wouldn't sweat it.

Leaburn mentioned coming down next weekend (better for him, apparently) to help me (better for me, also) so I'm perfectly happy to wait the extra week.  Since Roger is busy next weekend then if Roger wants help this weekend, I'll go down to help and if Leaburn or anyone else wants to join in - then it sounds like that will work, too.

Sound good?

I have to do the Grandie thing for Easter.

Put on my fat bunny costume.

I am postponing my trip to Oregon, I got a reprieve.  So I may be able to work something out after Easter.  Leanburn????  Gerry will have your head

So it will be the middle of April for me,guys.
By then the Barge will be out of storage and just might drive it down there..

Okay.  Well, unfortunately, mid April is no good for me.  I coach lacrosse at the school where I teach, so starting mid-April (April 10th) we have Saturday games until late-May.  Which means all those weekends are shot.

So I guess I'll try to get as much done by myself over spring break and if late-May comes around and Wanda's still in pieces then maybe we can try to get together again.

Thanks for trying, guys.  I appreciate it.
