Supposedly it's pronounced  like "Brome"...it's some kinda carriage from back in the horsey days.

I  always called my 77 GF a "Brogue - ham" just to be silly.

Like Cap - ris.

or EL -Door - A - dough.

The guy must have been creative with the CA DMV.  When you apply for a specialty plate in CA, you must provide a short "explanation" of what the plate means.   This is to avoid dirty words etc.  Wonder what he put down for POS?  short for "positraction"?

Well actually, realPOS is a registered trademark belonging to NCR. The POS part is "point of sale".  So even thought it doesn't relate to what you guys figured, its still curious that the plate was approved because of the trademark registration.

The guy is probably a NCR dealer.

There was a guy named Nicholas who wanted his name on the plate.  So his wife applied to the DMV for the plate  "4 Nick".  She was told it was taken.  So she added the suffix "1".  She was then told "1" as well as two through seven were taken, but she could have "8".

Yes, they let me have "Snottys" for the Newport, but would not let Frances and I have "JASEFA."  They said the computer tagged it as some sort of code.  I told them it was comprised of our initials - Jerrell Scott Allred and Frances Elaine Allred.  They would not let us have it.  Idiots!!!

But yet, they let Howard Markus have "WHTABZZ" on his Rumble Bee.  He admitted it sounded like a drug reference: What a buzz.

California!  They let a guy have RCHPHKR on his Porsche, but I can't have my initials!!!!

CA allowed 1MEANMF on a twin turbo Caddy Seville once in the 80's.

In NJ there's a 60 Corvette that has NUMNUZ
