The Wagon Train Got Longer!
« on: December 20, 2009, 09:51:39 AM »

Drove 700 miles round trip yesterday to San Diego to pick up another wagon. It's a 66 Town & Country. 440, dual snokel and exhaust,  power windows, bothfront seats are power,  third seat, cruise and tilt & tele. 64,000 original miles but has been sitting since the end of the disco era. 1980 to be exact. Does turn over and is pretty straight and solid with just some rust on the RR quarter and bottom of the tailgate. Best thing about it is the color. E1 dark blue with blue interior. I don't think I've ever seen a wagon this color. Here's some pictures. By the way you East Coast guys are gonna hate me for this but it was beautiful on the beach yesterday. azblackhemi2009-12-20 14:53:58

The only weather I hit was some blowing sand going through the Sand Dunes outside of Yuma and the "Marine Layer" at the Beach. Steve, my trailer is a 20 footer but I'm not sure what it weighs. My 3500 is doing great, 194,000 miles but runs like new.

I agree on the pantina Lea but If I can make it somewhere over and back the same day it's not that far. Especialy when you bring home something nice. Of course out here in the west  it's wide open and you can do 80 mph all day. Having the right vehicle helps too.
