Find a figure that you would be crazy NOT to buy it at and that's what you will settle not a penny more for.
That way, if you get it, you'll feel you stole it and if you don't get it you'll have no guilt.
Works for me.

I truely believe with some crafty negotiation, he'll go as low as a grand which I would say is a good buy for you.
My opinion only.  It's free.  You get what you pay for.

Well I am going to give it a whirl at 800.  If he doesn't take it. . . . Oh Well!  I didn't need it then.

The guy from Drydock who looked at it for me siad he probably wouldn't take 800 for it.  He is trying to break even.

Not as much work on this as the VOAB needed. . .  At least I don't need to put whole 1/4s on it.

Yep..breaking even is what he wants to do
300 is market value for the pedals.
Chrome must be nice if he was actually offered 600.
So,yeah go for it.What you do not keep can alwys be sold since the 68 Fury is a popular model still.

I offered him 900 the way it is.  We'll see.  I found a trunk and rails and lower quarters too.  Rust free!

that was yesterday!!  I know when I'm in the middle of a deal for
a car I really really want, hours can feel like years! Anyhow, if he
has any brain he'll take it, not everyone could or would commit to that
kind of resto-resurrection.

I get it as is.  Now the fun starts.

I'll have a real sweet Magnum I can put in there.  But I'll just carb it.  EFI is too much money
