For the carb I am currently refurbishing a Carter BBD 2bbl 1,1/2" with a cast iron intake.

When the 2bbl is on the car the Torker will be fitted a 425 IMPCO gas 'carb' and then the real driving will begin.

As I cannot edit my post a short follow-up:
I probably will buy heavy duty mopar springs (as I am in Europe this will be cheaper, easier and faster to do than to custombuild suspension overseas - shipping costs will be very high and as there are no planes I will have to wait a few weeks for the boat).

Anecdotally, it seems like a lot of folks have problems with those
particular Holleys... probably a good move. Also - gas in the oil...
have you checked your mechanical fuel pump diaphragm?

Sorry, I like Holley carbs, never a major problem like this with one, which is why I asked about the power valve. Since there are several different Holley carbs, which number do you have? You may also have a sunk float, which is hard to detect sometimes.

The fuel pump will be replaced as well :) I don't know the carb #, my car is 35 miles from here so I can't check right now.
