Too much work,IMHO.
Got to change the wiring harness, the pooter, exhaust, etc, etc.
Trans is also electronically controlled,it may not work with the engine swap--not sure, though.

the situation of Susan is unknown. i haven't seen her but i heard she wasn't crushed. i had to sell her cuz i didn't have room for a non drivable car. this Concorde i got for 50 bucks. and the ONLY thing wrong is a bad 2.7.  the 2.7 i can get for 1100 bucks but i can get a 3.2 (which was a factory option) for 650 bucks. i know the tranny will work (me and my dad have been reserching) and i know the wiring harness has to be changed but it's plug and play. The motor mounts will work on the passenger side but not the drivers side. so far from what i have found it is a direct bolt on job. so i think we just might do it.

By the way The missus and I have another little one on the way, a little girl due in October.
(the Grand Am is a GM and too small for three kids and the Concorde is cavernous and has plenty of room

well we were looking for a cheap late 90's chrysler minivan but when we found the concorde i figured it would be much cheaper to fix it and have a CAR that holds all of the kids.  And after the baby is born either her or I or both of us are getting fixed.Foamy_3022009-08-06 13:37:04

I  had  a  2000,  concorde.   it  had  the  famous  2.7  engine,  It  died  with  67, thou  on  it, Swaped  the  2.7,  with  a  3.5  high  out  put. had to  change  the  drivers  side  motor  mount,  just  a  quick  unbolt,  and  bolt  on  a  new  one,   used  the  passenger,  I  was  inluck  when  i  got  the  new  motor,  still  had  wireing  harness  on  engine,  plugged  right  in to  my  origanal  harness, tranny  bolted  right  up.  origanal  2.7  engine  computor,  and  trans  computor,  worked  just  fine,  for  the  3.5.  had  to  change  the  exhaust  down  pipes,  thats  all,  change  and  relocate  the  power  stering, fill canister.  And  that  was  it, a  few  turns  of  the  key  to  pump  up  the  fuel  rails  and  fired  right  up, ran  rough  for  a  few  seconds,  till  the  computor  reset  its  self,  then  smoothed  right  out,  ran  strong  ever  since,    so  far  i  havent  seen  anyother  2000  concordes  with  a  3.5  high  out  put,
