This post is not about the fact that it's a Mercury or about it's price.  It's irrelevent here.  The point of this post is about how it was "back in the day" and how those days are gone forever.

Nice history but the price does not reflect the desirablity of a big car.
There are plenty "one-of-one" cars out there when you factor in the way the car was ordered and breakdown of options.
Unique? Yes.Rare? Not really.Worth 75K? NO.

Stan, I understand what you are saying, but I must disagree with your rebuke.  It's because of the car's history that he's asking such a high price.  Obvioulsy, not a single pontential buyer could see beyond that either.

History is interesting, but it doesnt justify tripling the price......get real sellers!
