You need to get some fine Amish boys down there to build you a garage Steve. I can't believe you do the amount of work you do on cars all outside. You are AMAZIN!!!

OOPs...sorry Steve, I guess I have it in my mind that you had quite a bit of property. I remember those photos of last years get together in that rather large parking lot...where you guys had your C's....where you were choking Mobby over the hood of his/someone's car? I thought that get together was at your house.

We did.  That was up the street in a local parking lot.

Look at the picture of my trailer all lit up.  That's how wide my driveway is.  Trailer just makes it down in there and it's a talent to gte it into the driveway to start.  Like threading a needle.

Anyway. . Back to the subject

I finally got the 413 in.  Turns out the bushing for the front pump slipped out when I pulled the engine with the converter.  Further exam of the trans says it's toast as I suspected.

I have two ways I can go.  Get a 66 Steering column and put a later 727 in.  (I have 2) buy the rebuilt Trans Jack has (Leaburns Buddy) or transfer the guts from a good trans to this one.  Problem is, I think this trans still has a rear pump where the later ones do not.  I am sure this front pump is going to be a problem child.

Don't know when they switched, but '65 definitely should have the rear pump.

It   Is    ALLLLIIIIIIIIIVE

I threw the wiring in and gave it a whack.  Started right up.  Well sorta.  I thought the timing was out 180 and switched the disty around.  Turns out I wired the cap off one and a valve was stuck open. . . Ugh.  Well, that it for big red for now.  Tomorrow I'll tighten the motor mounts and take it back to storage for a while.  I have to wait for the window and regulator I need for the drivers door and a drive shaft anyway.  My parts guy forgot to get me rad hoses too.  I have to change the water pump housing to the 383 because all the holes in this one are either the wrong size or in the wrong place.

Bringing the 50 home tomorrow. . .   First order of business is the nose comes off.  Then I will bring the 5th Ave down and rip the nose off.

Anybody have any A/C compressor brackets for an RB?  I forgot about that.  All I have are brackets for a B

Still need the glass

What garage?  You mean that garbage dump?

The purpose of putting the engine in was to make a hole in the garage so I can make some sense of it.

If you did, it's not in the car any longer.

Where'd the drive shaft go?

I think any big block Mopar is worth saving-even the lowly 383-they have lots of potential
in the stroke department

I agree -- the 383 can make 450 horsepower very easily and cheaply. All you need is a cam, intake, and some  headers and away you go.
