The seals at the front edge of the rear quarter glass on Chaz were toast...as in burnt, due to the 40 plus years of exposure to the sun and other elements.

Driving anywhere with the windows up resulted in a faint whistle from the cooked rubber that was missing some of the flocked outer seal, and I hated having the car washed due to water leaking from there and from the body to door seal (the latter has not been addressed, yet).

I have some good news, however.  With a quarter glass seal for a '67-72 DART and on minor modification, those problems are gone!

I know this will work for a '67 Chrysler fasttop since I did it m'self (at least the side I took pics of.  E-body Ed of The Moparshop did the passenger side to see if it would work the day before I did the driver's side quarter glass seal).

Take a looksee at this!

Yeah, that's bad, and missing the outer flap.  That's what happens when your car is a resident of the California Central Valley (Scotty knows what I mean).




The passenger side was worse!  No pic to show it as installed however

Here's the part number on this piece once I removed it

Yeah, I think THAT'S original to the car. 
Here's the passenger side piece.


OK, so as I mentioned, a quarter glass seal for a '67-72 Dart (doesn't matter if it's a 'vert or not, it's probably the seal for the trailing edge of the vent glass) from Soff Seal is what was used to replace the dead seals.



It's pretty much the same length!

To help the installation I used some dry lube in the channel


Before installing it, one modification needed to be made, and that was a cut to the flat edge, which is the top of the seal for this installation.  Cut halfway through thusly


To instal, after lubing the channel it's going into, roll the outer side into the channel first, then seat the inner side with something that won't cut into the rubber.  I used the rounded edge of a brass letter opener.




I seated the base this way, working from top to bottom, and it took less than 5 minutes.


And Wallah!




No more whistling, either!

It goes to show that with some enginuity you can make things work.
