70NY & 73 Imperial
« on: April 12, 2009, 10:13:10 AM »

Yesterday I made a 450-mile trip with the Imperial, to check out a car and collect some parts.

On the way back, I spotted a car that was a candidate 4 years ago, when eventually I bought the 73 Imperial.

I'm still amazed at what a comfortable travelling machine the Imperial is. I left the car perfectly relaxed, and on the way north, I had an average of 95-100,ph, at which speed the car seems very well in its element. On the way back, I set a new fuel economy record by driving a constant 70 and with more advance dialed in.

I'm just surprised that the 70 NY has way more side trim then your Imp-or did you remove it Sjak???, both cars side by side looking great, the Imp needs a good wash and wax.

@ Tom: the side mouldings were already removed by a previous owner.

@ Lea: yeah those wheel covers... they tend to fly away at random with my cornering technique
