If any of you will be getting your VIN decoded, be sure to ask her for your free copy. Her name is:

The Airflow was the first American car to use Borg-Warner's automatic overdrive-the centrifugal type behind the transmission.
Overdrive ws standard on all Airflows the 1934 CU model.
The overdrive would engage when the driver lifted his/herfoot off the gaz pedal at about or above 40 MPH.
It had no kickdown feature, though. However it would disengage at about 25 MPH.
The Airflow had a lot of "firsts" in the industry.
First to use "streamlined" styling. It was too far ahead of its time and did not catch on right away.

First to use all steel body panels that were stamped out in sections and interchangability of decks, roofs, floors, and sides of models kept tooling cost low.
The l/f door could be swapped to be the r/r door--for example..
It was a car ahead of its time and many cars years later were influenced by the Magnificent Turkey.
