Even though it's a low mileage car I think he's a little out of touch with what the car is really worth.

Let's call ebay for what it really is.  A fishing expedition.
When you want to sell a car, what do you do first?  Throw it on eBay at a rediculously high price.  C'mon guys, we ALL do it.  I'm willing to bet 75% of the cars listed get sold either AFTER the auction or, on it's 3rd time around on eBay.  We're all scummy used car salesmen at heart....
