Buyers Guide says
 
1937 Business Coup. . .133" Wheel base  6 Cyl
 
#2 Car is worth $13,300 US
#1                     $19,000 US
 
Has a C-161 Inline 6  228.1 Cu  93 HP at 3600 RPM, 168 Ft Pounds TQ @ 1200 RPM and a 100 HP option, 176 Ft Pounds TQ @ 1200 RPM .
 
I see three engines listed for that year, but can't distinguish wheich engine was in which model.  Since it's a Royal, I am assuming it the engine I mentioned.  One of them appeares to be a straight eight.  I am pretty sure the straight 8 was used in Imperial and New Yorker  Base sell price was around $1,050.  Bumpers, radio, heater,skirts, seat covers, outside mirrors, white walls, and spotlight were optional.
 
According to the book I have. . .It says a total of 14,500 were made on that wheel base.  But that number combines all the 2 doors on that wheel base, 4 door sedans and 4 door Convertable Sedans.
 
An Airstream is worth twice that

The "Standard Catalog of Chrysler 1914-2000" has some more info.

1.. Chrysler's six-cylindar lined was named Royal this season.
2.. C-16 2-dr. Bus. Cpe.-2P, 116" wb, price $810, weight 3049, production 9830
3.. C-14 2-dr. Bus. Cpe.-2P, 133" wb, price $1030, weight 3374, production 1075

The C-16 got the 6 cyl and the C-14 got a straight 8

Very cool car Peter!  Could be great fun to haul it behind the motor home and use it for local touring around, sure would be an eye catcher!

Edit.

After looking at the shape of the side trim on the hood and the shape of the grill, I think that car is more than likely to be a 1938. If it is ..

1.. C-18 2-dr. Bus. Cpe.-2P, 119" wb, price $918, weight 3090, production 4840
2.. C-19 2-dr. Bus. Cpe.-2P, 136" wb, price $1123, weight 3450, production 766

The C-18 got the 6 cyl and the C-19 got a straight 8

The '38 looks to be a lot more scarcer than the '37

Wow nice car....I would love that....although I'm not a fan of the chrysler grille in 38 the plymouth was a bit nicer but 36/37 are much better.

Good eye Bill and Stan.  I'll check it out more closely. I only went on the info supplied by my son (he wants me to buy it so he can inherit it some day).  He also tells me the trunk is as big as our "C" trunks.

Curious, maybe this a "Y" generation solution to entering the hobby without getting grease on their hands ... my son has the same aspirations for my Fury.  Be interesting actually to give it too him, he thinks major maintenance is topping up the windshield washer reservior.    Or better yet, give it too him now as it sits and tell him its like an Ikea car - some assembly required.

Definitely no rumble seat in this one. My son says the trunk lid is extremely heavy and huge though.

That's a beautiful car...love the late 30's early 40's coupes. Oh boy, I really dislike coming up with an offer....You always come in low of course and that's so hard when it's an old woman that doesn't know any better. I'd ask her if she has any idea at all what she wants for it first...I'd go on e-bay and see what something like that has been selling for...Best wishes to you!!
